This is the first event of Easter Holy Week in Cusco.
The Statue of Senor de Los Temblores is taken on a procession round the town, then back to the Plaza where there are thousands of people waiting to see him pass.
Its believed that worshipping Señor de los Temblores will protect them from dangerous earthquakes, which are common over the Andes.
The people believe that the image of Señor de los Temblores was taken out during the devastating earthquake in Cusco in 1650, and the earthquake stopped.
Today thousands of people gather in the Plaza de Armas to pay their respects to the image as he passes.
It was also very noticeable that there are many more tourists here than just a few days ago.
The Easter week ceremonies together with the immanent opening of the rain link to Machu Picchu has finally brought the people back to Cusco.
