I’ve always had itchy feet, being a professional yacht skipper & Photographer for 19 years.
Sailing over 150,000 miles (7 times round the planet) touring Asia, America & Europe, I raced in the BT Global Challenge from Southampton-Boston.
Joining Mission Antarctica in 2000-02 I skippered Yacht 2041 to South Georgia & Antarctica on environmental expeditions, removing 1,000 tons of waste from the Peninsular.
I worked with Ellen MacArthur in Europe on Trimaran B&Q, & in 2004 rescued Virbac from mid-Atlantic, after her keel broke & she capsized during The Transat Race.
After spending most of my life at sea, I decided it's time to see some Land, so headed to Asia in 2006, travelling Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Burma, China, Tibet & Nepal.
In 2007 headed back to boats skippering a yacht down through the fiords of Patagonia, before heading off to Brazil for a spell of boatbuilding on a new Expedition Yacht. Then as I had so enjoyed South America I spent 3 months exploring Peru & Bolivia in 2008 before a summer sailing visit to the UK.
2009 & I am now back living in Peru at 12,000 feet in Cusco, enjoying the mountains & the nearby Amazon Jungle
2010, & still enjoying Peru.
I have many projects lined up, from the many colourful festivals, mountain climbing, to building a canoe in the Amazon Basin.
Stay Tuned for many more adventures.
