We are safe from the flash flood that took hundreds of lives of our neighbor province. Typhoon senyong didn't affected us that much because our city is protected by the tallest mountain/volcano in our country, the mighty Mt. Apo and although we live near by the Davao Gulf, we are also protected by Samal Island from the pacific ocean. By Gods' grace we are really safe from typhoons. Our main concern here in our city is the flood since our land area is below sea level. Heavy rains will cause floods in several areas especially during high tide. I am from Davao City and we say "maayong buntag" for good morning. "Maayong udto" for good afternoon and "maayong gabi-i" for good evening. the word "maayo" means good.
