The eagerly-anticipated Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will take place in Berlin between July 12th and July 15th.
Germany's first ever official fashion week has been organised by IMG and this Mercedes-Benz-sponsored extravaganza promises to be spectacular in its innovation and originality.
With catwalks emanating from the jaws of the breathtaking Brandenburg Gate, models will be showing off clothes against one of Europe's most iconic structures, ensuring a sense of magnificence and splendour accompanies every new collection.
Designers showing off their new lines include Anett Rostel, Vivienne Westwood, Hugo, Michalsky, Sisi Wasabi, Strenesse Gabriele Strehle and UdK Show.
There will also be a New Generation Award presented to a "young and wild" fashion designer deemed promising enough to take his or her work to the next level.
Stunning German model Eva Padberg has been recruited as the Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador and she has already been busy promoting Berlin's upcoming event. Posing next to luxury Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the striking blonde beauty has appeared on numerous posters and adverts, drumming up enthusiasm for this festival of fashion.
The second most populous city in the European Union, Berlin is in many ways an obvious choice to host a prestigious fashion show of this nature. It is also the third most visited city within the EU, which will guarantee there are thousands of excited tourists in the vicinity to support the various shows and fairs.
Fashion has long been a central part of Berlin's identity, but the city is also famous for its commitment to culture. There are more than 150 museums within the city boundaries and visitors will also stumble across some of Europe's most impressive architecture as they meander through the vibrant streets.
And, as the fashion industry is known for hosting the odd party, Berlin's multitude of nightclubs makes it a perfect choice for this year's show.
Hugo will open the Fashion Week with a collection on July 12th, before Sisi Wasabi and a variety of others take to the catwalks on July 13th.
