I am a professional adventurer, explorer and  sponsored athlete undertaking extreme expeditions all over the world. In 2008 I was part of just the 4th team in history to complete a human-powered, source to sea paddling descent of the Amazon River over 6800km and 153 days. I am sponsored by Suunto, Rab, Zeal Optics, MSR, Seal Line, Tiderace Kayaks, Kokatat, Pelican and LOWA boots. In November 2009 I began a solo, on foot north to south crossing of the Islamic Republic of Iran. I started on the shores of the Caspian Sea and finished 60 days and 1700km later on the Persian Gulf. 

In May 2012 I will paddle solo the 6300km Missouri-Mississippi River in the US as part of my 7 rivers, 7 continents project - source to sea paddling descents of the longest rivers on each continent.  35 000km of paddling.
