I grew up with African sun in my eyes, soil under my nails, a passion for the outdoors and a yearning to experience as much culture and adventure in the big world as I can.
Too be honest I don't deserve this experience any more or less than anyone else that has taken time to enter this competition. However I'm thankful for every day that the sun shines. I'm a natural enthusiast with a positive disposition and enjoys sharing with others.
I have a deep affinity with the outdoors, wild & water life and actively support deep sea conservation. I am a PADI certified Advanced Diver with specialities in Underwater photography, Shark and Manta diving. I am also a member of both PADI project AWARE and the Cousteau Society.
Growing up in an multiethnic environment and initially struggling with various languages and dialects visual communication became the building blocks of my child hood relationships. This developed into graphic design, photography and film. I am an avid amateur photographer and have been fortunate to have my photos used in reference publications and for advertising. My photos have won awards and in 2008 I was a UK finalist in the Mike Figgis' 'Life Captured' competition.
I have been fortunate enough to see a tiny bit of the world with many adventures still to be had. Africa being one of them.
