British born freelance camerman and director Giles Pike has a passion for travel to off the beaten track destinations.  Being appointed Director of Photography for New Zealand based television production company NHNZ's new travel series Bite me with Dr Mike Leahy is a dream job...and a challenging one. Shot entirely in hand held HD, Giles has spent the past year traveling the globe with Virologist Dr Mike Leahy to a host of exotic destinations from Mumbai to Mexico City. Along the way he's picked up his fair share of travel tips as the intrepid duo find out that in the natural world, size doesn't matter - sometimes the smallest creatures pack the most lethal punch!  When he's not on location, Giles is either hard at work in NHNZ's edit suites sharing his adventures by creating inspirational TV or surfing in South Island New Zealand.
