The first expedition took them and their telescopes to the North of Greenland carrying out a voyage in the purest traditional style by dogsled, knowing the Inuit’s lifestyle and enduring extreme temperatures. The second one gave this Society the prize of being the first known worldwide expedition in achieving the Antarctic Polar Circle in a 14 metres boat. They also performed the first videoconference in history between the outer space (specifically and particularly with the NASA Commander and also Honorary member of the SAGCR) Michael López-Alegría in the ISS and the Antarctica; a voyage of 32 days in which they passed three storms with winds of 70 knots and waves of 14 metres high, a crash with an iceberg, the lack of fuel, …, a really great adventure within the XXI century. They will tell their story with their pictures and a documentary, as well as their other expeditions and will explain their next adventure: The Spanish Transamazonic Expedition 2012, which will be the first worldwide expedition along the Amazon river by “ultralight” from its source to its end.
