The other great product of Hoi An was Silk.
There was a huge market of tailors, making custom fitted suits, jackets, shirts - whatever in just 24 hours for you.
I of course had to have one, as it was so cheap, but ..... I also got a linen suit, several shirts & some custom made shoes too.
Well it was amazing value, and great quality too.
Fortunately the post office in town was very used to people buying too much, so it was easy to ship it all back to my mum in the UK, so I did not have to carry it all.
I also got myself something I have wanted since my first rip to Asia back in 1998 - a fantastic silk lantern for my house - that is if should I ever return to it.......
That evening was full moon, & there was a small celebration by the harbour.
The locals were lighting candles & sending them adrift into the river, which was beautiful.
It was very hard to get a photo, but i was determined, as it looked so coooool!
