What an opportunity! That was all I could say when I heard about this competition.
I have always jumped at every opportunity to do something new. Seeing the world is my number one biggest dream but unfortunately, as in most cases, funding has always been the trouble.
I currently live in the UK, but unlike most of the entrants, I used to reside in the majestic country of South Africa. I would say this would be my main advantages when entering this competition. My family and I are English through and through but for some of my life I have been lucky enough to live on a farm in this beautiful country. I still proudly call it home and would love to return one day to experience all of its beauty. Living there, we rarely left our province of KZN so I have not been lucky enough to experience all South Africa has to offer. At school Afrikaans was my second language, Zulu my third. We had to speak Zulu in order to communicate with our workers and friends.
Tourism is South Africa’s biggest income which is why it is so important that we share with the world the beauty, culture, diversity and excitement that this country has to offer. Show them that it is an experience they cannot miss and that it is Alive with Possibility!
I would love to take up this challenge; in fact I would wholeheartedly embrace it! I’m not scared of anything, I’m outgoing, I love hearing what other people have to say (often strangers!) and have often been described as cheerful, bubbly, animated and entertaining! Pick me! I will do South Africa Proud!
