Yacht 2041, the Expedition Yacht for The Mission Antarctica project, over-wintered in Cape Town.
The rather long route back to Antarctica first takes the yacht some 4,000 miles across the South Atlantic, known as the Southern Ocean.
After some 10 days we stopped at the Worlds Most remote Inhabited Island Tristan de Chuna for a few days exploration.
Then another tougher crossing took us to the Falkland Isles.
From here it was just a further 4 days to Ushuaia in Southern Argentina, where we would prepare our selves for the expedition & sail to Antarctica.
In Total it took us 4 week form Cape town to Ushuaia to sail the 4,000 miles.
